Dublin Arrival and City Sightseeing

Land at Dublin Airport where a taxi will take you to your city center hotel (you will receive vouchers to pay for your airport transfers.) Once you’ve settled in, meet with your city tour guide to discuss options for enjoying Dublin. You’ll head out on a tour that features the sites that interest you most, or let your guide lead the way. Use your independent open-top bus tour voucher (valid for 48 hours) to get better acquainted with the city or reach areas to visit with your guide. You’ll also have a voucher to visit two premiere Dublin attractions — Guinness Storehouse, Teeling Distillery, Epic Ireland or the General Post Office. Independent Bus Tour

Your guide is available for another half-day tour of the city. You can also use the second day of your independent open-top bus tour voucher to pursue more of Dublin at your own pace and visit another featured attraction. You may also wish to visit other attractions or venues on your own. Perhaps check out the Irish Whiskey Museum, located just across the street from Trinity College to learn about the history of Irish whiskey and the part it plays in the global whiskey market. You could also visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, which is almost as old as the city itself and famous for its connections with the brilliantly eccentric Dean Jonathan Swift. After dinner, why not find a “singing bar” for some authentic Irish entertainment!

Dublin at Leisure

On your final full day in Dublin, continue your independent exploration of the city. Consider a visit to Dublin Castle, which was the seat of power and government for many centuries. Or take a stroll through Phoenix Park, the largest walled park in Europe. The Dublin Zoo is also within the park walls along with many areas of playing fields and recreation. Finally, you might like to stop at the National Gallery, which houses one of the largest art collections in Europe.
